'Silly String Redux' Bandcamp (purchase) CD Purchase Individual Song Breakdowns --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About the album: 'Silly String Redux' is a remaking/reimagining of my 2015 EP ‘Silly String’, supplemented with a soundscape piece and the epic “Redux”. I re-tracked the drums for all six original tunes and enlisted Peter Ferry on orchestral percussion, Sophia Uddin on 7-string electric violin, and Rafael Trujillo on guitar to round out the lineup. The bass guitar tracks saw proper re-amping and I revamped the synth/VST production and added further sound design elements. “Redux” is based on a very similar experiment that I conducted for “35 Going on Infinity”—another extra-meaty tune that is on ‘Delectable Machinery’—and also includes Aaron Deal and Greg Greenberg. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Credits 1. So, rather than layering my face onto the images with digital trickery, I actually sprayed a bunch of silly string on my head and threw ripped-up construction paper in the air and took multiple shots.
