Drum Channel Visit

Due to public praise from Thomas Pridgen, Tony Royster, Jr. and Cobus Potgieter -- and perhaps some kind e-mails from my awesome fans(!) -- I was given a formal invitation to appear on Drum Channel. An opportunity to take advantage of said invitation materialized, and before I knew it I was off to sunny Oxnard, CA with my good friend and webmaster Brian and his wife Suzie in late September.

I didn't have a chance to converse with Don Lombardi (founder) until about 48 hours before my flight, so within that time I wrote an outline for a solo, decided to jam to a track (Nick Johnston's "Bulletproof") and told Don to try his best to procure Marco Minnemann as a special guest.

When I arrived in CA, Don called me and blew my head off with the amazing news that Marco was able to make the trip out to the DC studio to meet and jam with me on the day of the show. The three of us then drove to the facilities to meet Don, who gave us an enthusiastic tour of the Drum Workshop factory (adjacent to the DC studio), and I set up my gear for the show the next day. The photos shall tell the remainder of the story and more. Enjoy!
